We're excited to have launched Neighborfood Express!
Through our newest, and most popular, program, we deliver healthy groceries and essential supplies weekly to residents living in various food insecure neighborhoods, as well as connect them with partner agencies who can assist them with such issues as employment, housing, addiction recovery, and mental health advocacy - to break cycles of intergenerational poverty and help lift them permanently out of food insecurity.
Since we officially launched Neighborfood Express on November 21, 2020, the program has had a tremendous impact in the lives of the kids and families we've served. To date, we've distributed thousands of pounds of free groceries, given out thousands of free kids books, and provided dozens of free computers for children and families.

Boosting juvenile literacy is crucial to ending cycles of intergenerational poverty, which helps eliminate perpetual food insecurity. Thanks to our amazing partners at Wake Up and Read, we're able to do that for dozens of kids and families each week through Neighborfood Express.
In addition to delivering free groceries and supplies, we've successfully connected dozens of individuals to our partner agencies in the Community Empowerment Coalition, for help with employment, housing, mental health, and other support services. In so doing, we strive to meet every possible need the kids and families we serve may have, beyond the lack of access to healthy food.
