The math is simple:
Free haircuts all year 'round to kids from families that can't afford regular grooming + free books and computers = guaranteed boost in social outcomes
We're proud of our ever-popular Kutz for Kids program, and even more proud that it's helped hundreds of children and families since we launched it last year. Hear Marcus share more detailed info about Kutz for Kids, including why he was inspired to start it.
The problem: food insecurity
The goal: eliminate hunger
The remedy: Neighborfood Express
We're excited about our new charity food truck service, through which we'll distribute 30,000 free healthy hot meals and grocery bundles to nearly 5000 kids and families living in food insecure neighborhoods.
Check it out as the members of the talented "Dream Team" we've assembled to bring the project to life share why it means so much to them.

Check it out as Marcus joins the wonderful Jen Bordeaux, of New Direction Family Law, on "Family Law Uncorked." During this engaging Facebook Live event, they discuss our various programs and services, as well as our special plans for the future.
Check it out as Marcus and fellow board members Robin White and Brianna Baker surprise Ms. Javadi with the funds we raised for her through Project ClassAct! This was our first ever check presentation for the program, and it couldn't have gone better. Smiles, hugs, cheers - nothing but love from Ms. Javadi and her students!
Check out the livestream footage of our first ever Kutz For Kids Legal Pop-Up Event. All day long, children got free haircuts and anyone who needed free legal advice got it courtesy of our wonderful partners, Osborn Gambale Beckley & Budd and New Direction Family Law.
The footage features an interview with Marcus (with a special cameo by his son, Chris), as well as Jeffery Warren, owner of Signature Kutz Barbershop, our invaluable Kutz for Kids partner.
On Saturday, October 5, 2019, we presented a special installment in our Vigilant Struggle Series, on ending the school-to-prison pipeline. Our panelists, N.C. Representative MaryAnn Black and Jennifer Bordeaux, of New Direction Family Law, shared some incredible insights and prospective solutions to the problem. We also had great engagement and feedback from the audience.
See below the pics and video from when Marcus and his son Chris went on a fun-filled shopping spree for our Christmas Smiles Drive. They had a great time picking out a wide range of toys, books, games, and other gifts - mostly curated by the toy expert himself, Chris!
